English Cup/FA Cup Badges.
My earliest English Cup Final badge is the 1913 Final badge which was handed out to the staff and players of the team after beating Sunderland 1-0 in the Final. A very rare badge l only know of one person apart from myself who has this badge and he is not a Villa supporter. The 1920 and 1924 Cup Final badges are really something special with the lion set in the middle of the badges. Great craftsman ship from a great badge makers from Birmingham Vaughtons who have close links to Aston Villa in the early years of the club. A lot of the badges in this section are recent badges for matches played in the past. These are fine if they have the right Villa crest for the period eg Badges 11, 12, 13 & 14 nice badges for the game against Blackpool in 1972 but the Villa crest on the badge was used from the beginning of season 1973- 74 which l personally think spoils them.
