The badges depicted in this section some can be dated by the people who purchased them and trophy badges by the date on the badge. Other badges if anybody out there can put a date to them please get in touch. The badge with "Play Up Villa" on is a very old badge with the stamping going right through to the reverse side of the badge. Whilst reading many books on Aston Villa,s early years , the crowd at Perry Barr sang this regular to the team. The first badge on this page l believe is AV97 from the Association of Football Badge Collectors Directory 2009, with the lion crest missing from the top of he badge. This badge was also made in reverse colours. It would be great to get hold of badges 1,2,7,& 12 in good condition if you have them and would like to sell them please get in touch. No 12 was probably made in the 1930s . There are a lot of badges of that design about for other clubs , but instead of being a club badge they are all supporters club badges. I have managed to get hold of AV1 AV5, AV63 & AV67 recently and l know only want AV2 & AV62 to complete the list of badges in the Association of Football Badge Collectors Directory for Aston Villa.
